The public opening of the Lara Museum - home of the Lara Heritage & Historical Inc. - the newest historical society in our Geelong and district region.
Congratulations to the committee and supporters of this group - it sounds like it's going to be a grand opening. Come along and show your support for this new group.
There is a sausage sizzle from 12 noon, Devonshire tea from 2.00 - 4.00. And the kidlets haven't been forgotten - pony rides, farm animals, face painting, Dan the magic man, jumping castle etc.

The Lara Heritage & Historical Inc. is located in the former Lake Bank Hotel and later the home of 5 generations of the DARCY family.

There is some parking at the rear of the museum, however if this is full you may park in Forest Road or Canterbury Road. [The official address is 110-120 Forest Road South, Lara, however Google Maps has it referenced as 110 Canterbury Road West, Lara. It is located on the north-west corner of these two roads.]
