The following information was kindly provided by the Springdale Community Cottage, Drysdale.

The SpringDale Messenger is published by the SpringDale Community Cottage Inc. in the interests of promoting Drysdale / Clifton Springs, and in particular, the welfare of the people who make up the local community.

The SpringDale Messenger was started in December 1991 with a small grant from the then Bellarine Rural City Council - and issues are planned to coincide with activities running at SpringDale Community Cottage (a member of the Association of Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres Inc.)

In summary :-

• First issue - December 1991
• 50 issues of the SpringDale Messenger to April 1997
• Two editors over that time
• Selling of advertising and accounting done by volunteer labour at SpringDale Community Cottage.
